My time Assisting Neil.

It is Extremely difficult for those closest to Neil. He was a character and a half, huge personality and man full off information some stuff I’d say out load, “ how the hell would you know that.” I always joked that I’d take him round all the pubs to win the quizzes, and he said he would find that a good idea, was part off a very large bucket list. I think my sadness is more for the things he still wanted to do and see and never got to.
I’m not saddened with the last 3 years I’m privileged to of meet him and to do some off the things he loved in life, great memory’s shared.
His condition he lived with never effected his ability to live as normal life as he could. his carers where his closest friends, the banter was as if I’d known him for years and I’m sure it was even closer with the Guys.
I remember saying at the interview that i admired him on taking on his own care but later found out that it couldn’t be any other way as he was right to the end fearsomely independent and complete control of his life.
We discussed loads of things endless topics. Fantastic chess player, so frustrating lol😂 never missed a night.
To round up my quote for Neil today and always is he was a true Hero in that he found the strength to persevere and Embrace life even though his body had went against him he never gave up on life. His out look on life helped me in so many ways.
I’ll miss him.
